Gabi... please hang in there. A marker for DS doesn't necessarily mean she will have DS. I know it's hard to do but try to remain positive and go for futher testing... Try not to stress yourself out.

Just because the marker is there does not necessarily mean that she will be a down's baby.
Did the docs say that it is a positive ?

ITA... Vins uncle's children all had some sort of a maker for DS. (3 of them).. They were all fine, healthy, happy babies..

I know words only mean so much and it's really tough right now to be in your shoes. More prayers to help keep you as calm as possible!! My mother always said 'worrying does not save tomorrow from its troubles, but takes the energy from today'.. So hard, but I'm trying to live by that *right now* too,...

I agree. I would wait till you find out a little mroe before you worry yourself into a mess. As hard as it is, take a step back and take a breath. It's just a marker, not a complete positive. Maybe get a second opinion.

Thanks so much for the good wishes and prayers ladies. Luckily, I am getting squeezed in with the genetic counselor today at 2:45pm. I am trying to think positive but it's hard when your a crazy person.

Good luck today and try to remain positive although I know it's very very hard. We are here for you.

I responded on LIF, but I wanted to send you some more & . As I mentioned, the same thing happened when I was pregnant with my daughter & it turned out to be absolutely nothing. I was told that they see this a lot & most often, it turns out to be nothing. My daughter is now a perfectly healthy nearly 3 year old. I'm hoping you will have the same results!
