UPDATE!!!! After finding out new information, this little trip is cancelled! I just found out that we'd have to leave DH's dads house at 6am saturday to drive to binghamton after driving all friday night and getting there at 11. I put my foot down and said absolutely NOT! I'll let you all know what he does for my birthday. GIRLS RULE BOYS DROOL!

So my 30th birthday is March 13th, DH's 35th birthday is actually the same day.
Last Night:
Now we both agreed that my birthday is more important this year seeing as 30 is like one of those milestone b-days. Well, he asked me what I wanted to do, I told him I would like him to plan something and suprise me. Fair right? He got all moany groany and I told him to just suck it up. My argument being that he planned a surprise 30th birthday for his first wife. Low blow, I know but I needed to prove a point.

Today:
He calls me and asks me if we can go upstate on the 13th for his nephews wrestling match in Binghamton, it's a state tourney. All of his Long Island family is going. And now so are we. I'm SOOOOO not thrilled. I told him that he's not off the hook about planning a nice birthday suprise for me.

Here is my birthday weekend:

3/13 - my b-day, work all day then sit in a car for 2 1/2 hrs to Ghent (Inlaws house)

3/14 - sit in a car for 3 hrs to binghamton then in a stinky smell gym all day, spend the night in binghamton

3/15 - drive 3 hrs back to Ghent and 2 1/2 hrs back to Long Island.

i hope he has something planned BUT i thought that about my Valentine's day and the surprise was that he didnt make a reservation and we didnt do anything

I'm impressed that you know wresting terminology. I thought they were leotards.

makes sense you would think they were leotards, i did see you walking around stop & shop in a leopard leotard and legwarmers the other day. the produce guy looks RIDICULOUSLY aroused

Is there any reason you have to go to Ghent beforehand? The ride to Binghamton is only like 3-3:30 hours from central Nassau. Being in the car an extra 2 hours would frustrate me so much.

i'm unfortunately not in charge of the driving portion LOL they want me to suffer apparently

and i have to board my dog which pisses me off
