I posted last week about an upstate wedding, thanks to all who gave me advice. We gave them a check, and so did a lot of other people.
SO, last year, when this couple came to our wedding, the gave us a toilet plunget (a nice, stainless steel one, plus another gift). On their gift table at their wedding this weekend, 2 different people had given them toilet plungers!!! One was decorated with blue bows, saying 'its a boy' and the other said 'Its a baby'.
Is this a thing that I dont know about?? To give toilet plungers as wedding gifts??
Im so confused!!

Re: upstate wedding-related. Im so confused
I'm sorry, I've never heard of a plunger gift for a wedding. I mean, a gift is a gift, but I don't get the 'meaning' of it, if there is one. Odd selection.

Maybe it's related to the phrase people sometimes use when talking about marriage - 'taking the plunge'?? That's still kind of weird though - I never heard of that before.

I'm from upstate and have never heard of that. Was she pregnant?
