Sounds like it could be starting. Do you have that feeling like you have to pee but dont really have to?

Re: UTI ...
Might not be one then. It hurts like a beotch when you pee or try to and nothing comes out. You feel like you have to pee constantly and nothing comes out or just a dribble (sorry for TMI!).

I havent had one in a while but I remember having the sensation like I had to pee or feeling like I wasnt finished. And the burning. Just keep doing what youre doing to hopefully flush it out before it becomes full blown. Theyre horrible Hope you feel better

Re: UTI ...
It does sound like a UTI. See if you can get an appt with your gyno. You'll need a prescription for antibiotics, usually cipro for a UTI. I just went through this, that's how I know

Re: UTI ...
they sell OTC tests now. I think Uristat makes them. Pee on it, then it will tell you if the test is positive for nitrate. it will change color. if it slightly changes color, go to the dr.

Re: UTI ...
Does your pee smell funny or look cloudy? Actually you may not have this side effect if you are drinking a ton of fluids.
Anyway it sounds like one could be starting but its hard to tell. I usually get them full blown right away, like it will be burning and hurting as soon as I pee and after I pee the burning does not go away until hours after I take advil and drink water. However once I start meds I get the tingly uncomfy feeling ike u r describing and that lasts quite a few days (the after math)

Re: UTI ...
I just had a minor one, and I just felt a tingling at the end of the stream -- not a burning really, just like a little urgency at the end, hard to describe. And I had the feeling that I had to go a lot, and it was worse when I was sitting down, vs laying / standing. I got the cvs brand of uristat (doesn't turn your pee orange!) and my mom had some sulfa antibiotics (I have no insurance currently) -- and it was gone in a day or two. still taking the meds though, and i am also on yeast infection meds because yup, I got one of those too. UGH.
Karin, if you get meds, go to stop and shop to fill the prescription - a lot of antibiotics are free until the end of march there. cipro is a common one for uti's and it's free, as well as the sulfa one I am on.

Re: UTI ...
Just wanted to mention- to stay away from cipro- it weakens the tendons in your legs- and a lot of people have developed serious knee & ankle problems from it- macrobin (i think thats the name) is what they usually give me
eta- feel better Karin

just keep an eye on it- if you dont feel better- call the gyno and see if they can get you a prescription- you may not have a UTI, but a bladder infection.
