ohhh, to be there right now!!! best vaca of my life. they spoiled us! and we had the most quiet we ever had. we usually had the entire (scott) beach to ourselves. awesome part is, you have like 6 (or more) beaches all right next to eachother...all unique.

We snorkeled with turtles at Hawksnest!!!
I thought of you when we passed Caneel Bay though - I remember reading your review and you saying it was so private. It was so private we passed the entrance 4 times before we found it

I liked St. Marten. Cheap flight, pretty close to NY (4 hours), totally safe, everyone is friendly and they use the dollar (Big deal when compared to the Euro exchange rate). 1/2 Dutch, 1/2 French, very glamorous, great shopping (all the European designers have shops in Marigot) and duty free jewelry (what more could a girl ask for???) It really has a great mix of culture, beaches and the restaurants are first class as well.
Oh, and its Beautiful, of course.

Jamahal Private Resort and Spa
I had the most AMAZING time in BALI. I cant even explain how beautiful the culture, ocean water, beaches and hospitable the people are. Bali is a small island of the coast of Indonesia. We stayed at the Jamahal Resort and Spa in Jimbaran Bay. Totally Private, GORGEOUS villas. 5 star treatment.... Those pics of St John are incredible - it's one of the next on the list!!!

I havent been anywherethat exotic but we did stay in Excellence Punta Cana (LOVED IT) and its under my HM review in my wedding review.
we went to Excellence in Cancun too-MUCh nicer resort than the one in PC but teh service in Punta Cana was waaay better as were the beaches. It was FABULOUS!

We went to Cap Juluca for our honeymoon. It is absolutely amazing. I loved it!!!! I don't know if you are planning this for your 1 year anniversary, if you are that is the beginning of their 'cheaper' season. FM me if you have any questions.

big dittoes on st maarten. we stayed at the Pelican resort (not all inclusive but they have a kitchenette in the room and a cute deli on site for anything you like) on the dutch side. there's a casino on site too! its a beautiful island with lots to do on either side. and beautiful beaches. and a direct flight!!!

ST. JOHN!! but i'm biased if you want resort, I would go to Caneel Bay or Westin, but the beach at the Westin isn't as nice. OR you could rent a private villa with your own pool, BBQ, etc...for extra privacy.
FM if you have any questions. we had a destination wedding there, then honeymooned on a sailboat to St. Marten, St. Barts and Anguilla.
DH and I are planning a trip to Cabo in May for our anniversary.
