Re: Vegas Anyone???
That depends on your budget! For our honeymoon, we spent two nights at the Bellagio, before going to Hawaii, which was wonderful. Could we afford to do that again? -probably not, but I'd highly recommend it if you want to go 'all out'!!

Re: Vegas Anyone???
For our honeymoon we stayed in the Venetian. It is beautiful and the rooms are really big, all suites. My two favorite meals were at Delmonicos (emeril's restaurant) at the Venetian and the Top of the World (on top of the Stratosphere).
Downtown LV is a great place to see, there is live music each night and the neon lights of the old casinos are awesome. We also took a side trip to Hoover Dam and Red Rock Canyon. I was not impressed with Hoover Dam, but loved the Red Rock Canyons.
Have a great trip!

Re: Vegas Anyone???
DH and I stayed at the Luxor on our honeymoon. It was amazing. We had a gorgeous room on the 25th floor of the pyramid, overlooking the strip. Right in the corner of our room in front of the window was a nice big whirlpool tub. At night we lit candles around the tub and just relaxed. The room was beautiful. There was a seperate little dining area in the room. And food, OMG the steakhouse in the luxor was amazing. I have never had such service. We had three waiters waiting on us. They even put my napkin on my lap for me. It was a bit pricey, but well worth it. They also have a good japanese, chinese, and mexican restaurant in there and the breakfast buffet is excellent. The inside is absolutely gorgeous. When we walked into the hotel, my jaw dropped. Can you tell I loved the place? They also had the best prices of any other hotel we looked in to! Good Luck!!
I am sooo jealous!!

Bellagio or Mandlay Bay!!!
I second that. We stayed at Mandalay Bay for our one year anniversary and loved the hotel. While the Bellagio was very nice, I believe it was more costly with gambling, etc. We were very happy with our stay at Mandalay Bay. Both hotels were my favorite!

Re: Vegas Anyone???
We just went in April during Easter Break. This is not the week to go! Anyway we had a great stay at Mandalay Bay. We got a honeymoon suite for $159 a night. It was terrific. This hotel is lovely, there are also tons of restaurants there. I loved the pools too, but due to crowds it was hard to enjoy them. If you want any other info FM me. Oh...we saw 'O' cirque de soliel. It was TERRIFIC!

Re: Vegas Anyone???
More feedback. I am planning a surprise birthday weekend getaway for DH [our first birthday married] to vegas.I heard Paris is beautiful, Venetian is gorgeous - big rooms.
I heard Bellagio lacks in service but others say its beautiful.
I am set on the Venetian - I just love the italian decor - it must be my heritage taking over.
But I was looking at Caesars - there pool area looks awesome.
I will keep looking for more feedback.
thanks, girls.

Re: Vegas Anyone???
I was just there a few weeks ago - my DH whisked me away for my 30th birthday - it as a big surprise for me.We stayed at the Luxor and it was beautiful. We had a nice room in the Tower and we had dinner at the Steakhouse in the Excalibur which was very good.
We're planning on going back next year if we can swing it.

Re: Vegas Anyone???
We went to Vegas in June 2002 and stayed at the Bellagio. I loved it. I don't think the Bellagio is as family oriented as the other hotels because there really weren't a lot of kids at our pool so it was quiet and relaxing. For dinner we really enjoyed Rosemarys. I forget which Casino its in I think its the Rio, just off the strip. What a wonderful meal, pricey but well worth it. I think on Sundays their wines are 1/2 price. We also saw O while we were there and I thought it was great. We also rented a car and drove to the Hoover Dam which was interesting.
Rosemarys
Have fun, I love Vegas and can't wait to return.

Me and DH are going to Vegas 4th of July weekend, and we're eating at Delmonicos! I'm glad you thought it was good!
I'll report back with any cool things that I find to see or do.

Re: Vegas Anyone???
We went in January and it was gorgeous! We stayed at the Stratosphere. It was SO nice. Other then the fact that it was a little far from the main strip, I think that it was the best value. And the restaurant on top, Top of the World, was amazing! the view alone was so awesome! It was a little expensive and you have to make reservations and dress up...
(but we won a few bucks so that paid for dinner) but it was SO worth every penny!!!
We're definitely going back soon!
Good Luck and enjoy!

Re: Vegas Anyone???
DH and I went in February - we stayed at the Venetian. To be honest we weren't thrilled with it. We had quite a few problems with our room and after complaining they did nothing for us.I absolutely fell in love with Mandalay Bay - it is my favorite hotel (other than Bellagio).
If you are looking to splurge for dinner go to Prime Steakhouse in the Bellagio and ask for a table by the window so you can watch the water show while you eat. It was a bit expensive but the food was outrageous and it was so romantic.
Have fun!!!

Re: Vegas Anyone???
both times i've been there we stayed at the monte carlo. it's much cheaper than some of the other hotels yet still nice. for us the hotel didn't matter as much b/c we knew we'd be out most of the day and visiting the other hotels. but check it out if you're on a budget. as far as things to do, try and take a side trip to either hoover dam or grand canyon. both amazing sights! and go up to fremont st at night to see the light show, it's very cool.

Bellagio is very nice, I love the conservatory there!Mandalay Bay is also very nice and it has great restaurants, bars, and pool. They opened a new hotel next door called 'The Hotel' that is all suites, we got a brochure and it looks incredible!
