Veil questions, please help.

Ok ladies, I'm stressing and need your help. My mom picked up my veil for me today while I was at work. I have a two tiered veil, but they are pretty close together in length (32 and 34 inches).... it is attached to a comb, I guess about 3 inches in length. I am wearing it at the back of my head (or so I thought). I thought the comb should be pushed down in my hair, yet it seems like the veil doesn't sit right if I do that. Am I supposed to push the comb up? Which layer should be on the outer part of the veil, the shorter or longer piece?

Also, if you could post some pics of your veils being put on, and possibly over your face when walking down the aisle, maybe I could see how it's supposed to be done.
