So everyday I carpool to work and the people that I drive with never ever leave work on time.. Now I realize that we are educators and need to stay after school and get things done, but yesterday we had conference until 7 and did not leave until 7:30 after being there for 12 hours and now today (as I write this) I am still waiting on them. We had yet another conference day, which was suppose to let out at 3:30 and just now they decided to prep for Monday. I am so frustrated. I just want to go home!
Edited for spelling - I had to type that post quickly and boy were there a lot of mistakes.

I was just going to post the opposite - why you drive leave on time instead of sitting around. Don't these people have a life ?
I wouldn't be able to carpool. I want to be on my own schedule.

Re: VENT
On a normal day, I am annoyed by it, but move on. Today was just too much. Last night we had to be there until 7 for parent teacher conferences and the guy held us up and then today we had staff development and already had to stay an extra hour based on the schedule and then he had to do work for something NOT related to school. He is hosting a conference tomorrow and had to finish putting it together and making photocopies. It is not related to our district at all and that is why it was even more frustrating. We finally left at 4:45, when we had planning on leaving at 3:30. Apparently, he told the other person we carpool with, he needed extra time, but he never asked me if it was inconvenient for me and this is what kills me the most I was going to say something today to him, but I was too aggravated over the situation. If I had said something, it would have been ugly, so on Monday when I am well rested and have cleared my head I will bring it up again
On top of all this, my DH had been on business the whole week and just got back tonight. I had a bunch of things I wanted to get done before he got home, but I wound up only getting home a few minutes before him.
Sorry for the long vent!

Re: VENT
Christina that is soooo annoying especially on a Friday. I finish at 5:30 and I walk out the door at 5:31. IS your school really far away? I would have given the guy dirty looks the whole way home and given him directions to Kinkos for next time. When you drive in Monday ask the carpoolers to give you a few days notice if they have to stay late so you can make other plans. Also mention how you missed a fake appointment they should feel extra guilty.
