Vent - HMO's

So I am now under DH's insurance which is an HMO. Well I went with his PCP when it was time to pick a PCP well that PCP is part of a center. Apparently they only generate referrals to other Dr.'s within that groups of centers and they will not and are not obligated to generate a referral to a Dr. outside of those centers even if that outside Dr. accepts your insurance.

I'm soo pissed. As I've posted below I have sleep apnea and use a CPAP machine. Well I usually go once a year to the sleep Dr. for just a check up. So my new PCP won't give me the referral for my Dr. he wants me to see his in-center Dr, which will probaby want to re-run the study.

This is just all soo ridiculous. I'm strongly considering switching PCP again to someone outside of a center. I feel like I'm my best health advocate and should be able to choose the Dr.'s I go to.
