Vent - people who talk at concerts...

or movies, plays, etc...

I saw Rufus Wainwright tonight (OMG he is amazing!). Anyway, this guy and his girlfriend (well into adulthood mind you) were in front of us and they did not shut up. At all. DH tapped the guy and said 'would you please be quiet' and the guy replied 'yeah but if you hit me again I'll have to hit you back.' Haha. Then the rest of the night, every time someone yelled something out, the girlfriend would say something like 'wow, he was allowed to talk just then.' I wanted to punch them both in the head.

At the end of the show, the guy stood up, shook DH's hand and walked away. So weird.

My point: why pay money for a ticket to something if you're just gonna talk the whole time. It was Rufus and his piano/guitar, not some huge arena gig.

PS: He sang Hallelujah and brought tears to my eyes. What a voice that man has. And his little sister Lucy (who's not really litlle, she's my age) is so super-nice and has a pretty voice too!

That kind of show is meant to basically be quiet!! He is a soft singer and the music is beautiful.
I would have been really annoyed too.

That is SO rude and annoying! I am the type who would never say something to them though, b/c I hate confrontation. But DH, on the other hand... I actually get nervous going to the movies with him b/c I worry that he's gonna have a problem w/ someone who is talking. Or the people who answer their phone just to tell the person they can't talk b/c they're in the movies Just don't answer then!!!

I would have gotten up and complained to the usher. I am sure after 2-3 x's of complaining they would have asked them to leave.
