Video frustration!!!!!!
I called Patken to upgrade to a DVD. When we first booked they said they would not give us a price then due to the fact that the cost will probaly decrease because of the demand for DVD. Well I call today and I am truly upset. I have to pay an additional $250 for a DVD, I ask can I substitute my 2 videos(already inlcuded in my original package) for 1 DVD and 1 video and I will pay the DIFFERENCE. They tell me NO, you will get the 2 videos regardless I ask for an explanation, she says it's costs nothing to put the footage on VHS, so the price will not decrease.I have already spent a small fortune for my photographs, album, enlargements, etc. Not to mention that I have been asking around and their photographers are charging $100-$150 for a DVD. So of course I want the DVD, so I paid for it. I told DH(he's in Boston), he thinks I shouldn't have got it.
Girls who are getting a DVD, how much are you paying??? Do you think I should get the DVD or live with the video??
Thanks

Re: Video frustration!!!!!!
I got a 3 video, 3 dvd package for about 1800. I love my dvd's, but it came included in our package. It also took forever to get them.It turns out, that in the end I got video of raw footage only. He ended up upgrading us and gave us 3 dvd's and 3 dvd's with chapters (so cute).
I dont blame you for getting the dvd at all!

Re: Video frustration!!!!!!
My FH is in television and video and I know for a FACT that it only costs 20 dollars to make a DVD out of your video footage and at MOST it would cost 35 to transfer from video to DVD. Do not pay that money. Take it elsewhere and have it done.
