video song for the highlights......

i was leaning towards i gotta feeling by the black eyed peas but is it too fast?

should i pick a slow song?

I went generic and used u2 Beautiful Day for recap. George is a wacko and wanted a Dean Martin Song 'Memories are made of This' and I told Jose to just pick a song for CH. Hopefully my video will be done soon!!!!

Well a faster song means faster cuts. As an editor if I was given that song I would pick more party moments then the romantic ones for the recap and the cuts would be much faster, meaning each shot would be quicker and shorter. I am a personal fan of a romantic song for the recap and a more upbeat song for a trailer. I find romantic songs make for beautiful moments. But thats my opinion. I would certainly have fun cutting to a fast song. Its like making a music video.

Im kinda swaying away from the slower songs just bc DH & I arent that 'romantic' type and honestly, it wouldnt fit us well... I remember the day as being 'fun', always laughing and smiling and dancing so much I was sweating lol... all my reg pics show our wedding to be like this...not more of the hopeless romantic, tears kinda thing KWIM?

Any other suggestions?

we actually didnt...we went through so many songs and could not pick one...in the end we ended up using uncle krackers smile for the highlights

we thought it might have been to fast but after seing some other people's videos i thin it woud have been just fine

When I was picking songs I didnt want to use the ones we used the day of the wedding.
I was told by Jose to use my wedding song but, why if it's going to play in the video already? Plus the ceremony you hear that music also. So I used stuff that we liked but, didnt use as anything special on the big day. Thats just my opinion.

I searched on tube and found a couple of videos with the BEP song and i really liked the feel of it... so i'll prob use that... too funny, i considered smile as well!
