Videographer vent!!

I'm so beyond annoyed with my videographer. It has been 11 months since our wedding and every single time i contacted him, he tells me the video will be done by the ending of the 'following month'. He told us when we booked with him that the video was going to be finished 4 months after the wedding.
I also think is very unprofessional to keep taking new jobs when he can't even finish the one he filmed almost a year ago???
I keep seeing him posting ads letting new brides know he's available (??) and he has posted video highlights of other weddings he had filmed many months after ours (Cancun??). Plus just added another video 11 days ago???
I've been very patient with him, but i'm very upset. I feel that if i keep calling him, he will end up doing this video in a rush; but I don't want to wait any longer either. What should I do?

is there a timeframe in your contract? did you already pay 100%?

He paid about 95% already. I don't think there is a date on the contract.

Good questions... But i would definitely keep on top of them... especially if they are finishing videos that came after yours

i would complain to him .... if he gives you a video that doesn't look great, you can have him re-do it.

it's absoultely unacceptable that he's 5 months over his estimate (and counting!)

I also think is unacceptable for him to tell me that he was not that popular when he filmed my wedding but now his business has grown so much and he just doesn't have enough time???

Definitely not acceptable if hes completed videos for weddings that took place after yours... id be furious

im not usre exactly cause im no lawyer but thats the first place i would contact is a lawyer and tell them whats going on..i would also email the video place and tell them u r taking legal action..sometimes they need to hear that to get moving

well, i didn't want to post his name here but if he doesn't get back to me on this, I will have to let the brides know so they can be careful.
