Ive never personally had one but my sister did and she loooooved it. I drove it a few times. Drives nice and its reallly cute. She got it from the dealer in Bay Ridge. Shes recently graduated to the S80. Not because she didnt like the S40 just because she got kids to tote around.

I had a Volvo S40 and I LOVED it but if there was one thing I could complain about, is that the headrest on the driver's seat had a weird blind spot to it. I found out it's because it's made that way because protects your head if you're ever in an accident.

I had the s60 and absolutely loved it!! I miss it now but needed to expand for my growing family. I highly recommend Volvos. They are great cars.

My sister had one and loved it..it was so much fun to drive. When I was looking at cars a few months back, I actually wanted to buy one and went to the Volvo dealer. Very strange though, they didnt have any on the lot and werent offering any leases on that car..the guy didnt have much info on them at all. I was pretty disappointed. Good luck!

sorry to crash - but I have an S40 - I absolutely love it!! It's been my favorite car that I've owned. The only complaints I have about it is that the newer version (I have the older version) is a little bit small - the dealer always gives me the new ones to drive when I bring my car in for service. However, the car is great on gas, very comfortable and safe. Mechanically, it's the best. I've had the car for 5 years and I haven't had one major problem.
Maintenance (oil changes and such) can be expensive though - but in the long run it's worth it because a volvo will run for at least 100,000 miles if not more. They even have a 200,000 mile club for them.
