Vow renewal
Joe and i will be married 2yrs this June and we decided for our 5yr anniversary we would do an actual renewal in a church since that is important to me, BUT I want to do a personal renewal this year....Let me explain.............................
Since we got married we have gone through so much and the m/c we had 3wks ago only adds to that. I suggested that when we go back to Mackinac Island at 4pm we go back to the courtyard and just say our own vows to eachother...Just us.......NOBODY else. I would get a $30 white summer dress or some sort of summer dress from Old Navy, get my hair curled(simple and appropriate for the occasion), carry a small b-ok of gerber daisy's, have some champagne in the back just us, and then we would go to dinner at the same place we had our reception. Joe would wear just a pair of nice dress pants and a linen top. I'm talking super casual here, and not really wedding like at all. Our anniversary gifts would be: him a right handed ring and me a small diamond weddings band. I just feel like after this year we've had I want and NEED to do this. What do you think?
