John, repeat after me.

Erica, I take you to be my lawfully wedded wife.
Before these witnesses I vow to love you and care for youas long as we both shall live.
I take you, with all your faults and your strengths,
as I offer myself to you with my faults and my strengths.
I will help you when you need help, and will turn to you when I need help.
I choose you as the person with whom I will spend my life.
Will you let me share my life and all that I am with you?

I tell my mother that i am only going to say 'i do' and i think it bothers her a lot because she always gives me a look...

I am having a catholic full-mass ceremony, but i don't want anything that says 'honor and obey' I hate that the word 'obey' is in some wedding vows...

I don't think many vows have the word 'obey' anymore - that's pretty outdated.
My reverend gave me a book of all Christian passages for various religions, so I was able to pick and choose exactly what I wanted
