wall display

So, I got my enlargements today!

Can everyone share pictures of how they are showing there's.. how there wall arangements are and what not.

My main shot is 11x14, with a 8x 10 on each side.

I haven't hung anything yet though because the frame I got is 11x13 and I'm not sure what I want to do

I also have an 11x14 that is just framed in a regular 11x14 frame.

My big shot is a 20x24. It is in the process of getting mounted and framed. I have no idea how big the finished product will be or where we are going to put it

I have some collage frames with 4x6's in it. I havent had any enlargements done b/c I have no idea what to do with them so that it doesnt look like a shrine to us.

If anyone has any good ideas with photos - i would love to see!

Re: wall display

Stef I liked that PB wall display you posted a while back.

I'm picking up my enlargements today too, but the biggest I ordered was 8x10 (three in total). I'll have those in matted frames, along with my PB 9 picture wooden frame, to hang up, and also want to include a framed copy of the Hawaiian prayer that we picked up on our HM.

Along side, or near this display will be other frames, so it won't be ALL wedding photos and nothing else!

PLEASE post your wall displays. I have tons of blank, empty walls at home and NO idea what to do with them.

Michele, those walls are for all of the baby pictures!

I have the opposite problem as Michele. I have a very small house so any sort of wall display instantly becomes the center of attention for the entire space. I like subtle.

Re: wall display

We got one 11x14 in our package and a free 11x14 of our E pic. The wedding portrait was framed by our photog for free. It's just a regular 11x14 frame, no matte. We want to get a matching frame for our E portrait. Here's how we hung them:

We reserved a wall over our bed for this picture. My sister got us two smaller matching pictures of butterflies. So they are on either side of the bed, aboove the two nigt stands. The portrait is in the middle. The other 11x14 will be on the side wall, adjacent to the bed.

An 11x14 is not all that big. We didn't want that shrine look either and didn't want to spend the money for a larger portrait, although we had the space for one. I wanted our portrait over our bed since that is our space together and not too many other people will see it regularly.

My MIL does have that 'shrine' look in her house. She has an enormous wall in the living room so it works for her house. She has our wedding portait, her other son's wedding portrait and then the 3 sons' portraits from their bar mitzvahs. She got our wedding portait enlarged at one of those one hour photo places for like $30.

Re: wall display

The largest enlargement we got was 8x10 and we got 3 5x7s.
They're all matted and put in those thin black frames from Michael's.
I'm displaying them on our mantle with our toasting flutes and a carriage clock that was a gift from a good friend.

We had a low voltage light installed over the mantle to showcase anything that gets put there so it's COMPLETELY like a shrine LOL, but I'm not about to take it down anytime soon. Our wedding pictures was one of the first things that we unpacked and put in our house and I've always thought that photographs are what truly make a house a 'home'

I considered getting an 11x14 for our bedroom but decided that THAT would be overkill and a blatant diplay of my vanity

Susans - just wanted to say I love your picture layout. Also, from your other post I love your Swedish bed from Ethan Allen. You have great taste.

About hanging wedding pictures - I shamefully admit our house is turning into a wedding shrine. Someday when a baby comes I guess that will change.
