i do bank there and i havent heard anything about them closing..and i was just in the bank last week sitting down doing all the name change on the accounts and they didnt say anything.....where did you hear this? no i am concerned!!

There has been write ups about this in the paper. But they are not exactly saying they are going OOB... just dont know what to think about it![]()

yeah i am trying to find more infor now and it seems like they are being sold in an auction....i do not know what to do about my accounts just yet. do you bank there too?? what are you planning to do?

My husband banks there and has a CC w them. I am having him take out his savings and put into my bank for now. He is not closing his cking acct just yet and who knows what will happen w the CC. But having the CC doesn't work against us, meaning if there is a balance they will want to get it paid, so they will have another bank take it over.

yeahh i dont know i have direct deposit into 2 checking accounts...one is DH`s and he has 1 more month of pay going into that account so i dont want to close it yet and my IRA retirement account that i can not touch untill i am 60 and both of our savings....sooo yeahhh dont know how this is going to work i guess maybe i need to take a ride to the bank today!!

08er Crashing...I heard about the possibility of WAMU closing on Kudlow & CO. this past week....because they've been in a decline and just changed leadership. There are some interesting articles in wsj.com over the past week for those of you who bank with WAMU.

so if it becomes another bank, and our direct deposits are set up there, everythings fine -- money isn't going anywhere, its just another banks name, right?

crap I have a online cd with them that doesn't mature until 6 more months. Just probably will have a take over I am sure, i remember it use to be something else then wamu took over. I will probably change everything over to another bank. Sad I really did like wamu.

I have like no money in my account there maybe like 500 bucks. Just sitting there. I should pull it out and close my accounts. Bethpage federal is an amazing bank! LOVE them.
