Re: Want the grand tour?
Shamma...I am a New York girl at heart! I lived there until three years ago when my wallet couldn't handle it anymore. I'm a Dallas girl for now and no silly that is not our stuff in the house..the owner is still living there.
Thanks for the well wishes! Next GTG in Dallas at my house!

Re: Want the grand tour?
Nicey...I have been so overwhelmed lately and have felt like I was going to get sick from anxiety lately! It is all very exciting and fun but also very nerve racking! I can't beleive I am more worked up over buying a house than I was when I got married. It is just kind of scary to think you are buying something that you will be 100% responsible for (no more landlords to fix things that get broken) and that will take you 30 years to pay off! Exciting and scary. Tonight we meet with the mortage lender. I think I've lost about 3 pounds from not eating!! But overall it is great! The inspection kind of freaked me out waiting until he was done to see if he was going to say there was something drastically wrong. But luciky it turned out great. I think the hardest part is over. Good luck with your inspection. Where did you buy?

Re: Want the grand tour?
Shamma, Got the inspection results on the spot...all is well. Minor issues only...like a lock on the window broken, outdoor socket needs a covering. Easy stuff! It is a three bedroom , two bath, two car garage, 1800 square feet. Master bath is HUGE...loving the seperate garden tub!

Re: Want the grand tour?
ddunne-I totally feel exactly how you feel. I wish I could lose those three pounds though (lol - I have a vacation in Mexico in 2 weeks and those three pounds can make a difference to my bathing suit). We weren't planning on seriously looking for a couple months when this house came along and we really like it. We have been to a ton of open houses and most houses we have seen weren't too nice so when we saw this one we really felt we couldn't let it go. So that is what is making things even more nerve racking. DH is a bigger stress monster than I am so I am trying to be the strong one but it is tough. (PS The house is in South Bellmore, LI.) This is much more stressful than the wedding. I think it is the change of lifestyle and the amount of money and hoping you made the right decision.. hey I had 6 years before DH and I were engaged and for me to know for sure he was the right one - now I have a couple days/weeks to make this life altering change.
Again - all the best to you.

Very nice.
Just reminds me we need to move more south
A house that size here I would need to sell an arm
