Warning: Kinda gross but you have to see.....

A Chinese baby boy born with an extra penis on his back spent three hours in surgery this past weekend to have the extra, uhm, member, removed.

The tot's former condition is called fetus in fetu (FIF), a condition where twins fail to develop normally in the womb and one becomes conjoined or reabsorbed.

The extra penis was attached to the spine and nervous system of the infant. The three hour long operation to remove the penis posed a high degree of difficulty, but was completed successfully, with the baby showing no signs of nerve damage.

I don't know, I saw it on Perez. And seriously, poor kid. It is a real phenomenon though. Similar thing happened to a kid in Greece (I think it was Greece) a few weeks ago. The kid had some random body part inside of him that was his 'twin'.

wow I didn't hear about that! I guess its possible! But its also a little hard to believe since it was on perez- LOL. But if it is, I hope the poor thing is okay!

Wow, that's just crazy! I'm happy they were able to remove it and hopefully no one reveals who this baby is so that he can live a normal life and not be taunted by the a-holes out there in the world.

I have heard of this happening before.
That's so sad.

It is definitely possible. Examples I have seen usually include things like hand, not apenis, but it is definitely possible. I make my biology students watch the video 'In the womb - Multiples' and they talk about this phenomenon.
