Romantic to say the least! We drank champagne each night, took long walks and naps by the beach. Ate at candlelit beach restaurants, spa massages etc... it was a dream! I wish Tom and I were in St. Lucia now. What I hated was the horrible bus ride from the airport to the resort though! That was way worse than expected! LOL

Yes, the wedding reception was my thing to plan and the honeymoon was Joe's suprise for us..
He did a great job! Very Romantic!
Which is basically the reason we don't have alot of pictures from it. We were to busy being together to stop and take pictures

YES!!!! My hubby and I abstained from any intimacy for a month before the wedding- and it was great getting to know each other all over again. We took a cruise and relaxed and we were pampered and spoiled! One funny thing- on the second night of the cruise- it was a formal night, the ship was so wavy that people were falling over in the hallways- imagine ladies in their evening gowns walking around like they were falling over drunk. We went to dinner and DH turned green right after we ordered. The waiter wrapped up our dinners and had one of the busboys escort us to our cabin, carrying the food. DH ended up just going to sleep and I proceeded to eat both dinners!!!! The food is really good on cruises! I then went shopping! I came back to the cabin, he woke up and said, I think I'm hungry now!

It was extremely romantic, but in such a natural way. Ususally we go all out to out-romance the other, but our happinness of getting married and the beautiful Hawaii setting was all we needed this time. It was perfect. I wish I could go back.

We won the newlywed game on our honeymoon cruise and became instant celebrities! The game was aired on the cruise channel and it was looped - so everyone saw it like a zillion times a day. We were stopped everywhere we went and even had a posse of girls ask for our autographs - it was hysterical!
It was nice to have everyone on the ship always congratulating us

Was your honeymoon as romantic and passionate as you expected it to be?
Absolutely, and probably more so than I expected. It was just a that we had no other cares in the world, and being able to do what you want and when you wanted was such a change for us.
Was it more like an ordinary vacation?
Neither of us had been to Spain before, so it wasn't like any other vacation we had ever been on together. Also, we spent 2 weeks there, double what we would normally vacation for.
Did anything funny happen to you?
Yes, I had a hard time adapting to the oils in the food. It made me uneasy. So I tried to stay close to what I knew would be fine. As a notorious seafood country, I tried the fish a few times and loved it. Then we were in a cute cafe for dinner one night and saw the same fish I had ordered the other night at a different place (and loved it) (it was skate). So I ordered it at this place. The look on my face as the waiter put it down in front of me had to be priceless. It arrived as a full fish, eyes and all, and breaded and fried. Let me tell you how mortified that this whole fish was on my plate. If you know me, you know I could have died.
But I filleted it myself and ate it. Delicious. But I stayed away from the fish after that experience.
Was it MORE than you expected???
Yes, like I said before, I had never been to Spain, or een to another foreign country, so I really enjoyed their culture and customs. And I was still amazed at how 'American' it could be at the same time. There were Mickey D's and TGIFriday's and malls, LOL!'

incredibly. I felt like we had just started dating again. I guess it is the whole idea of being in a romantic place, we loved every minute of it and each other My favorite part, besides the obvious, had to be the couples massage

We had a GREAT honeymoon. We went to Sandals, St. Lucia, and it was beautiful, and very romantic, from walks on the beach, to nice nights in the hot tub. It was just what I expected it to be and more

Nothing funny happened but to be gone from home for 10 days was more than I could have asked for, it was wonderful, not a care in the world so darn relaxing. WOW, it was great. I want to do it all over again.

Was your honeymoon as romantic and passionate as you expected it to be?
More so!!
Was it more like an ordinary vacation?
Although this was our 3rd trip to Aruba, it was different, it was our Honeymoon and we were now man & wife so it was much more beautiful than I could have imagined and we saw Aruba in a whole new way! We had couple massages, great dinners & treated ourselves to great things while shopping without looking at the price tags! We never do that!
Did anything funny happen to you?
Besides the fact that we booked our trip for 13 days/12 nights & we wound up staying for 9 days cause I wound up in the ER & wanted to come back to the US to see US doctors, no LOL!
Was it MORE than you expected???
Yes as described above. I loved my HM even with all that happened! And now I have a 2nd mini HM on July 11th. John surprised me with a 3 day weekend to Disney to make up for our lost HM days.
I love my husband soooo much!!!!! He always thinks about making me happy. Always!!!

Re: Was your HONEYMOON as passionate as you expected?
Jenn - yes, skate is good. It's a white fillet type fish, similar to flounder or sole. I've only had it breaded and fried though. But that's how I like my fish, it's not as fishy tasting that way -Trish

Absolutely, and probably more so than I expected. We were house looking right up to the time of the wedding so it was very nice just to relax Was it more like an ordinary vacation? A little more than.. since most of our vacation time is spent going to florida to see my sister and our neice and nephew. and I had been to aruba before but it was nice to as husband and wife.
Did anything funny happen to you? We got a free jeep rental for listening to the timeshare speech so it was purple and has no radio but it came with a CLUB.. to make sure no on e stole it.. it was hysterical.. also we got lost.. aruba is 2 by nothing and we ended up in the military testing site.we did find a beautiful beach and there was a really nice couple who helped us find our way to the natural Bridge.... and my DH forgot his hat and was wearing a white shirt.. so you can imagaine what a site we were
. Was it MORE than you expected??? No not really is was just a nice realxing vacation...

Re: Was your HONEYMOON as passionate as you expected?
Our honeymoon was definitely romantic. Those days in Grand Cayman were great. Just sitting by the pool or beach, reading and talking. Having dinner on our little terrace or on the water at these little romantic spots. . . . .*sigh*. Then the second leg of our trip to Disney was also amazing since my husband hadn't been there in such a long time.
It wasn't like an ordinary vacation for us because we had never been on a 'real' vacation together. Sure, we spent a few days here or there, but never 2 full weeks. Since we did not live together before marriage, this was definitely a novelty for us.

Re: Was your HONEYMOON as passionate as you expected?
It felt like a very romantic vacation in the City of Light. Visiting all the sights of Paris made it very romantic! It was everything as expected.
Re: Was your HONEYMOON as passionate as you expected?
for the first 2 weeks it was great and very romantic!! lots of walking...especially since we didn't have a car...we were able to walk to shops and to dinner...
the 3rd week a little less...b/c we spent most of the time with DH's family...
the only funny thing I can think of (more so unusual) was that the chef at the Ritz in Barcelona came up to us on the street (saying that he recognized us) and took us for a personal tour of the city and helped us pick out some fantastic wines
