I'm sad - I got married about 2 months ago - and here I am at work watching/hearing all the planning of 2 brides-to-be :( today they were discussing dress material, tiaras and limos. oh how I wish I could do it all over again - with the SAME GUY OF COURSE :)

Re: watching other brides to be plan
funny, i was just thinking about this...
every once in awhile i go to the BHB board and look around a bit. i rarely ever go because i feel so disconnected with all of that wedding planning stuff now. i laugh when i see the same questions that we were all posting two years ago! believe me, that board was extremely helpful when i was planning my wedding and i had fun, but now that its over, i'm relieved! i enjoyed the planning, but it took over my life! i'm glad to be done with it, and i enjoy this board so much, where we can all talk about other things besides the wedding.

Re: watching other brides to be plan
I actually want to plan someone else's wedding - all the fun stuff without being emotionally involved. So my friend & I are having a count down as to when one of our sister's will get engaged so we can be in wedding mode with out actually having the wedding ourselves

Re: watching other brides to be plan
It's sad when the planning is all over but my best friend is planning hers so I get to go through it with her now. It's fun helping her plan and seeing what she decides on.
i get satisfaction of helping other brides plan thats what makes it all better.

I'm with Erica! I mosly remember the stress of the last several weeks. I wouldn't change a thing about my day and I wouldn't want to deal with feeling like I had two jobs all over again.
I am content with looking at pics of my day

Re: watching other brides to be plan
It's a normal feeling especially since you've only been married 2 months. Most of us brides went through that! Eventually the feeling passes and you move on to planning other things.
Our wedding is one of the most exciting time of our life and the planning is fun, so it's understandable. However, just remember, if you want to plan another wedding in a few years you can do that. You can remarry your husband however many times you wish! So the fun is not over!
My honey and I were going to get remarried last year on our anniversary vacation in Jamaica, but I forgot my dress! Don't get too sad watching other brides, you can get busy planning fun things for you and your husband to enjoy! Join the fun rather than looking in on it!

Re: watching other brides to be plan
I too sometimes miss the times of when I was planning our wedding. But some of it was stressful and it did take over my life as well. I miss it but would I do it all over again...ehh maybe not. I do however want my wedding day back...LOL I felt like a princess that day, like a celebrity. The day after the weddding I was like 'i'm not a princess anymore' my husband was like 'you always will be'. Two of my friend are getting married this year and I'm having fun helping them plan their wedding and like Sonicstef said, this time we don't have to go through the stress. I'm in the bridal party of one of those friends and she is getting married in July around the same time in the same church! I'll be walking down aisle again but this time on the other side as a bridesmaid.
The fun is not over because you can plan other things. This year is exciting: I'l be a Godmother again, I'm celebrating my 30th b-day in Atlantic City and in the summer we are going away to a summer resort for a week and then for our 1 year anniversary in July we are going on another cruise so we have lots and lots to look forward to.
