We should be getting our wedding video some time this week - im just curious, how did you watch yours the first time? Alone, with your friends or family? What was it like to see it? Any negative feelings? Thanks!

Oh my! JP's girl...why would you think you'd have any negative feelings watching your video??
We watched ours alone...we made a date night out of it. It was very romantic...we found ourselves kissing in the living room every time we saw ourselves kiss on the tape...hehehehehe....it was a very sweet night reliving the wedding day. I got a little misty during the ceremony, first dance, BM's toast and recap.

We also watched ours alone, and we smiled and laughed. It was really weird seeing yourself on video for 2 hours. I cried when we watched our vows, because I did cry saying them.

I watched it with my family the first time and now I keep watching it when no one is around. My husband can't understand how I can keep watching it but I am addicted to it!

My DH and I watched for the first time together. We then showed it to our family but cued through some of the boring parts (we only have the raw footage and it is 4hrs long!). The only negative feeling I got is when I saw one of DH's sister's friends grinding on my DH the whole night. How trashy do you have to be to hit on the groom???!!! Other than that I both laughed and cried a lot when I watched it (and every time since that too!). It's definitely emotional watching the video for the first time.

Defintely alone! I hate seeing myself on tv and get really embarrassed. Wound up it wasn't bad at all. I also wanted to make sure nothing bad was caught on film (hehe). Then after that we watched it with both sets of parents.

I'm a little anxious to see my video. I always knew I wanted to have a videographer, but I've never been good in front of the camera. I hope I don't look like an @$$ dancing all night! LOL
Once our video is ready we're definitely watching it on our own first, before our family sees it.
