called me yesterday and cancelled our valentine's day reservation because there was a fire on tuesday! its back to the drawing board for me now.. DH is working and he wanted to do something local.. and he does not want dinner at home because we are doing brunch..
and he's so picky!

WHAT how bad was the fire OH NO. That place has been around FOREVER!!!! dont know if youve ever been but the whole place is filled with stuff from the old days, very old street signs and memorabilia.
I hope it wasnt that bad, I LOVE that place

Do you want to stick to Queens? If so try Riverview, they have a prix fix menu though, i went there one v-day, food was great though

ok thats good at least that they will re-open in 2 weeks. Hopefully all their stuff didnt get ruined, like the memorabilia that money can't replace.

which is the place on the water? Isn't it Riverview? by the Avalon or something? DH took me for my birthday one year; very pretty restaurant.
ooh you could also try the waters edge might be pricey though.

yeah and L'incontro might be booked already too.
Try 718, its very cozy and more private. The food is amazing too, its french and spanish mix. But i would also call this place right away too. It's smaller so has less seating

lol yeah it is riverview, i had went back and changed my post, i wrote it quickly and realized after lol. I do have to say that for v-day their menu is $85 minimum per person, so it is pricey on v-day

I'm going to parkside, we love that place. We also love sak's it's in astoria. Where exactly are you located? I also know of a really good italian place in queens village.

Oh also maybe try Simply Fondue. It is private, there are booths and theres also sections you can specially reserve, its a step higher and you have your own private area, theres even a curtain you can pull down for more privacy.

I checked their website bc DH and I frequent this place. It was a kitchen fire and they are hopefully opening in a month!
