Watermill brides
Did you pay 2/3 for vendors and children? If so, was this fair. I'm just realizing that most other places offer 1/2 for them. This is bothering me.

Yes - all the Scotto places charge 2/3 for vendors and children. They were very flexible on the children count. By that I mean we were told that we could request a 'chair only' for the little ones (3 and under?) we found out that they gave the little ones the complete food choice. They even brought out something special for one of our very fussy nieces.
On the other side their gratuity was 15% (Sept 01), most other sites we considered were at 18%. They treat the tip as a gratuity not a service charge so it was not taxed, this was something else we saw in a lot of places - It all adds up.
You will be very happy with your choice of Watermill
Thanks Fran. I have one 2 year old, one 5 and one 6. What food choices were there for them and kids a little older?
The gratuity is 18% now. I'm still not sure who is included in this (aside from the waitstaff), do you know?
thanks!
Nina - I believe the kids had a choice of the regular meals or chicken fingers. The gratuity covered waitstaff, valet and restroom attend. The Bridal Asst., and Metrade (sp?) were not included.
I am not sure how much I was supposed to pay for the children and vendors. But I do remember that you have to meet you garuntee before the discout anything. We had 125 garuntee and we had 119 adults and 6 children and 4 vendors. We had to pay full price for the children because that made our gaurntee and then the vendors were discounted. Anyone under 4 I think is free, I did not have anyone that young.
The Watermill is a great place and you will have a wonderfull time there!
Good Luck
