We Booked our Trip!!

I'm so excited DH and I booked our flights to Italy for our 1 year anniversary!! I really didn't think it was going to happen with the construction at JFK the flights have been changing daily and got really $$ but we did it!! We're going to Venice, Florence, Rome and hoping to do Sorrento too, 13 nights in total!! We still need to book hotels so recs are welcome!!

i dunno - dont get my wrong, its just as pretty.
But I just found that Venice & Rome trumped Florence by a lot. So much more to see and do.

My sis and I did a Contiki Tour a few years ago & had 1 day in the city - so maybe i wasnt able to give it as much time as it deserves to get a better judgement on it.

I kind of felt the same way about Florence although I would say that you HAVE to go there. I loved seeing the David and the Bapistry and the Uffizzi.

However, as a city, I just loved Rome and Venice (my favorite) more.

Really, anywhere you go in Italy is just amazing. The only thing I think wasn't worth it was Pisa. It broke up our long ride but really it's nothing to see.

Wow, sounds like a great trip! SO jealous. I always wanted to go to Italy and I always wanted to take a 13 day vacation. DH would never take the time off work

oooh we spent 1/2 our honeymoon in Florence, our hotel was awesome!

It's called Hotel Savoy, it's right in the middle of all the action and it's GORGEOUS!

And while in Florence you MUST go eat at Il Latini. Best dinner in the city
