I took out my nice china & crystal when my best friend & her Fi came for dinner, & it was so fun!! Table all set pretty with candles & all!! I decided why save it for when I have a house or like everyone says for a 'special occasion' !! I figure it is special enough to be able to have friends over & a good meal!! I highly recommend it!!! It's fun to be a newlywed isn't it?!!!!

I agree. My grandmother died NEVER using her good silver or dishes. They were just for show. So silly. Eat on them as often as you want.

I can't wait to do that...as soon as I get a house with a dining room!! It is so annoying to not have one, the only time we can have people over for dinner is in the summer when we can eat on the deck!

Once we buy a china closet to store everything in, I'll use them often!
Til then, they're at my mom's house still in the boxes! lol

We do that alot. In the spring we invited a bunch of friends over for a Tuesday night barbeque and ended up setting the table with china and crystal. We had so much fun and really enjoyed it.
We set our china for everything, not just special occasions. Our guests really enjoy it too.
