It was an experience. Most people were nice but some were just plain rude! I see now why people hire agents to do this type of thing. I think we're doing another one next weekend...fun fun.

so they knew you were the seller and they were rude? that's pretty messed up. Yeah must be weird to have all these people coming into your home and saying things and analyzing everything.

Good luck Jess...I hope you sell it fast. I can only imagine how annoying it is.
I will say that when we go to open houses, I'm always more uncomfortable when the owners are home b/c I HATE opening closets and stuff...I feel like i'm snooping. That being said, I understand you are acting as the agent so you have to be there.

We had about 6 couples show up so I think it was a pretty good turn out. No one gave us an offer today but someone asked if she paid in cash would it make a difference. We were both pretty shocked and weren't sure how to answer that.
Then there was a young girl looking to buy her first place so she brought her mother and I guess the other woman they brought was a family member but they brought her because she's an agent. And she was just really rude and even the girl looking to buy the place was embarrassed. DH was trying to answer her questions and she kept rolling her eyes and kind of saying like cut to the chase type thing and DH was answering her question but she kept asking the same thing but kept phrasing it differently. Then she started giving us advice on our fliers and where to put them and stuff like that. It was really nice of her to offer advice but she just did everything with such an attitude. I think she thought everyone was out to screw her or something. I heard real estate was a cut throat industry but come on!

Thanks! It was really awkward being there but I'm glad I was because our apt is small and at one point it was just too many people to take around the apt so I took some people to the patio while DH was showing them around in the house so it worked out. Thanks again, I hope it sells fast too, I want to host easter and passover in a HOUSE!
