We have a house! (sequel to the seller from H*ll

We have a house! Yes, the closing actually took place! She left it fairly clean, although it was a bit depressing to see that it was shabbier than I remembered. In my photos, the paint looked much fresher than it does with the house empty. Well, we have our work cut out for us, fixing up the flaws and then painting... but it's ours now! We're back in Boston (closed at noon, hit the road a few hours later and drove up here to pack) and the movers come Monday and will deliver on Tuesday! Hubby and I get to spend our anniversary together - going to a nice Italian restaurant in the North End. Yippee! For a while there it looked like we'd be spending it in different states! No more nights apart - can't wait!

More good news!

We just spoke to our landlord and he's got the apartment rented for May, so we won't have to give him May rent afterall!!!! Whooopeeee!!! And the sellers left a nice grill with 2 gas canisters so we're going to check it out to make sure it's in good, safe working order, and if so, we won't have to buy a grill! Things are looking up!

Thanks to all for the anniversary and other good wishes! The packing is almost done so tonight we relax over a nice dinner.
