We have our album appt with Duet tonight and I have a question

We can't seem to narrow down the pictures. Did anyone go above the number of pictures allowed for the album? How much was it?

DH thinks we should give them all to them and let them narrow it down based on layout and flow. Anyone do this?

Are you happy w/ all of your pictures..
I would be nervous about letting them pick ones I am not thrilled w/...
Is it a lot more then what should be going into your album??

We didn't use DUET, but in our package we originally were alloted 48 pics. To give you any indication, we ended up with 112 in our album. It cost more, but in the end, all we have are our pics.

we prenegotiated the price of extra photos and the mat charges. I think it is 16 per extra photo and 4 for the mat. We have 50 pages in an 8x10 but will probably have 56 photos/pages.

if you don't want to go over the price you have already paid I would let them narrow it down - their editors have an amazing artistic eye.

Duet let us slip in a few more than our contract said - i think with the type of layout they do, it is easy to just digitally fit more on the page. If you were to go over in oages though, I think it is $25 extra per page. Bring them all in and tell them your dilemma - they will help you work it out.

I gave him a bunch and he just said he was going to try to get them all in. He didn't mention an extra charge. But I also was very unhappy with my pics and could tell he wasn't too thrilled with them either so I think he may have just wanted to keep me happy.

We ended up narrowing it down to the 60 pics with 10 optional ones. It wasn't easy but we had to do it. We really don't have any extra money right now to put extra pics in so we had to settle. I am sure it will be great. We had great pics. Thanks for your help!
