We need belated Honeymoon suggestions!

Ok, so DH got married this summer and we didn't take a honeymoon. So now that he gets vacation time again since the new year started, we are trying to figure out where to go. I'm trying to find a teaching job, and I'll be subbing, so I figured we should try to plan to go during one of the weeks that the schools are closed, which leaves us with either a week in Feb. or a week in April. Summer is pretty much not an option since he doesn't have the seniority at his job to get a week during summer. So, I was wondering if anyone could suggest somewhere nice to go during either of these months that's not overly expensive. We were thinking about the U.S. Virgin Islands (since he doesn't have a passport yet) but we don't know much about them. We're open to any suggestions since we feel so clueless about where to go! TIA!

If you want to go to the USVIs I HIGHLY recommend St. John. It's a beautiful island, very safe and clean, good food, good shopping, very laid back and relaxing, and the weather is almost always amazing. We stayed at the Westin St. John and Jess (Aug07OFCBride) stayed at Caneel Bay. We are both obsessed with St. John and constantly recommend it There are also other hotels on the island (Gallows Point is one). You can spend a week relaxing on a beach or by a pool, or you can do snorkeling and scuba excursions, or you can rent a jeep and explore the island - whatever you want to do is all very accessible.

To get there you fly into St. Thomas and take a ferry boat provided by your hotel. St. Thomas (what little we saw of it) was pretty but it's not very safe.

Definitely check St. John out!!

we absolutely LOVED sandals. You really can't beat the all-inclusive...it's just so great. We stayed at the Regency in St.Lucia and it was fabulous..the food was delish & there was always fun stuff to do. Plus it's all the food, activities & booze u want we just had a great time. they have a great spa at the regency too If u stay in a standard room for about a week they have excellent prices, and if u go to a travel agent they usually have specials going on. it was awesome..LOOOVED IT!
