We should have an LIW Newlywed summer BBQ!

How much fun would that be??
Everyone could bring one thing (food or drink) and leave the hubbies at home to clean the house

We'd have to do someone's backyard (if anyone is willing to host) OR we could find a park that has those outdoor grill things.

I would totally do it if we were living with the ILs

I know know, my parents have a great yard but i dont know how willing they would be for me to have a party at there house

We could have it here, but I have to be honest there isn't a whole lot of room. And if it rains, then we are in a lot of trouble cause my house is smaller than my backyard (which isn't all that big).

ETA: Park is a great idea... Some of the beaches also have grills and tables.

NP. It's up to you guys though. I don't have a pool, but I can promise that DH won't be around. I just told him about it and he practically offered our Backyard.
He'll take any excuse to go hang out with his friends, but he always feel most comfortable about it when I have things going on as well.
