Webroot Anti-Virus??

I got my laptop last year for Christmas, and we went to Best Buy to have them do the set up on it - which included norton anti-virus and webroot anti-spyware. Both are expiring soon, but when I renewed the webroot anti-spyware, i got anti-virus for free. Now I am wondering, do I need to pay another $40 for norton too?? Or is the webroot program good? Anyone use it without norton? Has it been good for you?

just asked dh- he's in computer networking- suggested downloading spybot- its free and he said its just as good as norton
