Re: WEDCLEAN
RosieI got my dressed cleaned at a place on Covert Avenue for about the same price as Wed Clean if you would rather take it there instead of sending it away. Let me know if you want the info.
Where are your proofs?

Re: WEDCLEAN
Thanks so much Jenn, I really appreciate it, I am going to check out all the cleaners in my area, if not I will head out to the island to your place.well its been 4 weeks since the wedding,
and me and Amykat (got married the day after me).
are waiting.
I cant wait to see them, so it seems like forever.
I ended up with 3 photographers that day, so hopefully there will be a ton of pictures and hopefully a ton of GOOD ones.

Re: WEDCLEAN
I just want to add that one of the best things about WedClean is that they ship it to you in this big box that is great for storage. I dont know if all places do that but I think some places give you a bag or a giftbox like thing...but this box is heavy duty so Im not stress about leaving it in my nasty basement.

Re: WEDCLEAN
I agree with Stef, the box WedClean uses is heavy duty and sturdy. Their customer service was great...I took pics of my dress hem and how dirty it was but I never took after pics...but they did a great job and they were very fast.

Re: WEDCLEAN
I used them too.No problems at all. Dress came back clean, beautifully packaged and it's guaranteed for life.
If it yellows (which they say it won't) you send it back and they re-do the dress and preserve it again.

Re: WEDCLEAN
I used them too. I had some problems with the beadwork on my gown but they have been fantastic about their responsibility to fix it.In fact, they've ordered an entirely new bodice from Jim Hjelm and the dress maker they work with will attached it to my gown, so my dress will be perfect again.
My dress was really dirty - it had been cleaned once already (and not very well) and then worn again. So I had a lot of set in stains and new dirt on top of that. They did a great job - its not perfect, but its SO much better then the original cleaners did.
I'm VERY impressed and pleased with their level of customer service.
(I did order the insurance, for the $20 or so that it was, it was worth it to me).

Re: WEDCLEAN
Jenny, basically the first time I had my dress cleaned (not at Wedclean) they subjected the beads to the solution TWICE, thereby weakening them. Many 'melted' and were missing. Long story, but they said it wasn't their fault, whatever.A year later, I wore the dress again (the damage wasn't really noticable from a distance), and sent it to wedclean. It basically came back beadless.
Now I'm sure some of the problem was that the beads were already weakened, but they SHOULD have tested the beadwork to see if it could withstand the cleaning.
They have taken full responsibility for the repairs, and have been wonderful to work with. I wouldn't fear sending your gown to them - they deal with beading all the time.
Here's a picture I sent them to explain the damage (thanks to jlf41, Jessica, for suppling the material from her gown for comparision)

Re: WEDCLEAN
I havea quick questions to those who sent their dress to Wedclean - how did you send it there? Did you stuff it in a box? Just trying to figure out what I would have to put the dress in the send it to them. Also did you send your crenolion (however your spell it) too?Welcome New Vendors
