Re: wedding album

What is your limit. I started by alowing my self to go over my limit! I contracted for 30, but then figured I would add up to ten more. Right now I am at 44. I am not sure I am going to cut 4 or just leave it.

My appointment is tomorrow afternoon.

I divided allthe pictures in to categories, and then picked ones that reperesetned each faze, & ones that I just loved. I went though it every couple of days & narrowed down a few.
One day, I HAD to have all these, and then, when I went back, I wasn't as attached to all of them.

I did the same thing. I go back through them once a week or so, and take some out and add some in. It's kind of a pain. I've also kept a stack of the 'near misses' and ones that are close duplicates of the chosen ones, so that I can have those handy during the design session.

My session is next month.

I posted about this too!! I'm glad to know I'm not the only October bride who hasn't done her album yet!!

Funny thing is DH called me at work today to tell me that we HAVE to sit down and try to get it done this weekend!!

Re: wedding album

DH and I both hate how we look in photos, so it was easier for us, I think. What we did was take different colored post it notes and each put a post it on the photos we loved that we would say were 'definites', trying not to look at whether or not the other person put one on the back. Then, any that had both colors of post-its we automatically put in the album and we sort of went through the others and decided.

One tip: once you decide not to include a photo in the album DON'T look at it again. You will drive yourself crazy. Any photos that one of us hated, just got put in a pile that wasn't touched again until after we gave the selections to the photographer. Hope that helps some of you!

Re: wedding album

it was so hard narrowing it down...just do the best you can and let the photographers handle the rest

Re: wedding album

I separated my pictures into a like and dislike pile. I think I had over 200 in the 'like' pile. The photographer helped me do the rest. HE went through each stage of the day and we picked pictures from there. It was a lot easier.

my limit is 60.
I did the dividing into like and dislike and then into categories
There are sooo many to choose from though between traditionals and photoj....
I have already had one session with the photographer but i am still having a hard time

AND although this is a good thing...having a lot of great shots...it is EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING

I gave up, I went to the photographer and screamed HELP. They sat there with me and helped me decide!

I'm Guilty!! I have not had the time to pick out my album pictures etc....I did go through them and flag those proofs that I really liked but narrowing them down is the hard part. Sooooo it's 6 months later and still have not taken care of the Album and Video edits....I'm a bad girl...

Re: wedding album

DH & I went through all the photo;s and picked out like 200 we liked. Then we wrote down how many of each part of the day we thought was fair ... brides house, grooms house, church, formal pictures, cake cutting, parent dances, dancing, miscellaneous ... and narrowed it down again. We got to about 80, our album is for 50. We extended our package to 70, so we finally cut down 10 more. It was worth the money so we didn't have to suffer through cutting any more than we already did.

That was our logic as well. We orignally paid for 30, but then when we got it down to 42, that was worth the extra $180.
