Wedding Album Question Regarding Picking Pictures

Okay my husband has like 5 people in his immediate family including one uncle. I have like 18 people in my immediate family including brother in law and sister in laws and nieces and nephews. Is it wrong if I have like say 10 more family pics in wedding album than of his family pics because obviously I need to get pics of more people in my family in there? I'm afraid his family might think it's wrong of me to do that. What do you think?

I think you and your DH just need to pick the pics that you want and make you happy...

Re: Wedding Album Question Regarding Picking Pictures

Okay because his mom is really into all wedding-related stuff, so I assumed she might be offended if there is less pictures of his family. But as long as my husband doesn't care, then that's all that should matter, right?

Re: Wedding Album Question Regarding Picking Pictures

How about just putting yours/his parents, siblings/grandparents in your album and the rest in the parent albums? Are you doing parent albums...??maybe you can put all extended fam.in theirs..just a thought..

Good luck..I am working on my album pics right now and it's not fun..

Re: Wedding Album Question Regarding Picking Pictures

Well, there's really no extended for theirs, just immediate family.

We are getting parent albums, and she is going to pick out what she wants for their album. I just thought they might get offended if I had like 10 more pictures of my family in the album than theirs. But really, I have like 3 pictures with my father I have to put, one with my mom, and then like 4 pictures of my nieces and nephews because there's one with me with my nieces, one with me and all FGs and RBs, my husband with nephews, and then them going down aisle. How can I cut that out?

Re: Wedding Album Question Regarding Picking Pictures

I know..it's really hard to cut..Someone else said it..as long as your dh is ok with it..I would do what you want..If the parents are getting albums they can do what they want..no one should be offended in that case..

Also, if his parents say anything, you can just explain to them your situation..I'm sure they will understand..

Re: Wedding Album Question Regarding Picking Pictures

I was actually going to pick the pictures for their album, but his mom said she would like to do it. I thought the husband and wife usually do it, but oh well, less work for me. My mom said it's okay with me whatever pictures I pick.

Re: Wedding Album Question Regarding Picking Pictures

It's not like you're planning to exclude pics of DH's family, right? You'll still have them in there, but there will be fewer of them because his family is smaller. It just makes sense to me that you have to have more pics...I can't see anyone taking that personally.

Re: Wedding Album Question Regarding Picking Pictures

Our wedding album is almost all us. Some immediate family pics but that's about it. We have proofs to keep and the parents have albums.
Definitely do what will make you and DH happy.
