WEDDING ALBUMS

How many of you have already finished your wedding album? I am in the process of doing mine now and would love to see what everyone else did. Also...what is the normal amount of pages? My album gets 50 pages...but I'm not sure if that's enough.

i think i get 80 pages and it's sooo hard to narrow down my pics to the 110 max that they allow

I'm so glad to see I'm not the only June bride who hasn't been able to narrow down their proofs yet.

You're not alone sweetie.

My photog has been calling me for two months now reminding me that I need to do this b/c it's going to take him around 6mo to to put the album together.

Oh great. I had no idea it took that long. And I haven't even started with songs for my video either. Hopefully I'll get to flip through my album and watch my video before my 5 year anniversary.

My daughter got married in Nov. She got 500 proofs. The moms were to get 24 pictures. I increased mine to 50 in the package. HIs mom was getting 24 but chose 61......so she's paying for the extras. I ended up with 75!! My daughter & her husband looked at the proofs the first time and chose 213!! In the package they can get 100 pictures, but there's the option of adding more....at a price! They were here the other night and attempted to narrow it down. They did, to 187!! Still too much. They have to narrow it some more. Sure they can pay $ for each additional photo, but I'm sure they can cut out some more. I told her to meet with the photographer. Maybe from his perspective he can point out pictures that may be repetitious or not really needed. Its a very difficult decision. You have to do it in stages. Pick them, then walk away. Come back at another time and go thru them again. You may see things differently. Good luck.

I'm getting 50 pages, and I picked out about 170 pics. It was recommended that I only pick about 100 so it wouldn't look cluttered, but I just had too much trouble narrowing them down. I saw the layout of the album though and I actually really like it. The person who made it got creative and fit a lot of extra pics in by making some pages with collages of a bunch of smaller pics.

Hehehe. I actually think that my photog takes more time than most photographers to get the albums done b/c most of the girls on here already have their albums and they got married after us.

Our video is done though and it looks amazing!!!

Now go and pick some pics. It took us a whole weekend to just look through our 1500 pics

We did our own-in the process of redoing it as I have time cause Im all fancy now But the layour from the finished album is under my albums.

i feel your pain I've been agonizing over it also.
I keep telling myself it's only one album & it's not a big deal. I have all the proofs in albums to look at when I want anyway but for some reason it's still a project.

I don't have Blue Daisy but my album is only 48/ I narrowed it down to 75

Mine is 40 sides and 102 pictures. the digital album...theyre printing it now

we just made it through the first draft of our albums picks -- I think we narrowed it down to like 500 out of 1200 proofs.....a few more rounds to go till we narrow it down.

we get 50 pages with unlimited images but still it's going to be rough to make the picks

DONE!

I did the album myself.... we had over 1k proofs, and I narrowed it down to I think about 250 pics...

I did an old-school album complete with photocorners it took a very long time, but I'm happy to say that ALL the albums are done... our wedding album, 2 parent albums, 1 album for my family in germany, and finally our HM album

never printing a picture again!

I had narrowed it down from about 1500 to 400 to 180 since we got our proofs back in August. I'm thinking that I can probably get it down to 120 but that's it. I'm just going to end up buying more pages. I even had my mom and some cousins over to go through it with me and together we couldn't cut it back much more.

Now I also have to pic my 20 X24 picture.
