wedding albums - do you have yours yet???

I'm getting a digital album (soho ablum) and still waiting to see the first copy/proof -
I got my enlargement and both parent albums awhile ago, plus are video was ready a long time ago also.

I only gave my photographer the photo's for our album in January.

I was wondering if you all have your albums or are still waiting for it or even, maybe have not given the selected photos back to your photographer yet????

I have not even gone in to let my photographer know what picts I want in the album!!! I am a big slacker. My video is available, but havent picked it up...

I did my own design for my digitial album and it took me forever to do the work. But when I finally did submit the designs, I think it was about 8 weeks before I got it. So yes, I have it..but I was very lax in getting my act together.

Im not crazy it took THIS long but i think its a good idea to get a bit of distance between teh wedding and the time you pick your photos. Right after the wedding I think you have a harder time picking the photos that will be more timeless.

My photographer was great! I had my proofs back in 2 weeks, I quickly ordered my thank you pictures (I had my thank yous out before Christmas and I only got married 11/1) I picked my pictures, got my video by Christmas and got all my albums in early February.

nope, not yet.

i've picked everything out-just waiting to do the final approval to make sure there are no type-os and then they'll go to print.. thank god.

We are going with a traditional album and in fact just met with our photographer about 2 months ago to place the album order - they say 6-9 months so by the end of the year we should have it.

I agree with Stef about getting some distance. I love my pictures so much more now then I did when I first got them.

We ordered our album in late June of 03 and we still have not gotten it yet. I keep thinking anyday he is going to call us and say it is in. But that has yet to happen.

Holy Crap...I am such a slacker!! I got married 11/1 too, and I haven't even picked the photos for my album yet!!!

We went with a traditional album too, had the proofs in two weeks, thankyou's in two more and the got the album back just about three weeks ago, I love my album!!! Now I want my video!!!

We brought in our proofs for the albums about two weeks ago. We were told they should be ready in June. Can't wait, but probably can't pick it up myself until November anyway, which is most likely the next time we'll be in the US.

we also got a traditional album. we just gave the final approval on it easter weekend, so we should have it back in 3 months or something. we got all our enlargements and parent albums already. i just want this wedding stuff to be over, enough already!!!

I'm really bad!My 1st Anniversary is in a few weeks, and I just finished picking out my pics. I promised myself that I will have them ordered before my anniversary.

I did our digital in late 2/2003 and had it in my hands by late 5/2003.

but I really didn't have any redo's on the proof pages.

I just dropped my proofs off yesterday and they told me 5 moths til I get the albums and enlargements!! I miss my pictures!!!

I had my proofs within 2 weeks of our wedding. Picking out the pictures for our album took forever. We finally decided last June and had our Album by October.

We were married in 9/02 and I had video and all albums by late March 03. We did our albums too quickly and while it was nice to have the albums and pics early, (and for everyone else to have them early)... looking back there are pics I would have included in the albums and not included.

I think you need to distance yourself a bit, but at the same time, I think waiting too long is not great either. People want to display pictures and have albums (especially family) in their hands at least during their newlywed yrs! I got my negatives, and it is the best thing I did, because I am already tired of some of the pics I have displayed so now I can change them around whenever I feel like it.

No, and I really need to call about it. We picked everything out in October and we haven't gotten anything back yet.
