Wedding Albums ?s
We picked up our proofs on Saturday and now we have to pick the pictures for the albums, etc. This might be a silly question, but do you put the pictures in order of events or did you put them in randomly?
And what type of photos do you put in, well I guess what I'm trying to say is there a list of 'poses' that usually go in the wedding album?
Any help would be appreciated

Re: Wedding Albums ?s
I put them in the order that they happened b/c I wanted to tell the story of what happened..rather than it be a compilation of photos. But not everyone does that.Generally, you want to pick photos from the important parts of the day. Gettting ready, all parts of the ceremony, the first dance, toast, cake cutting, dancing, etc.. But I think its most important to put the photos that really mean something to you.
I did a digital album so its not as relevant to you but a lot of the newlyweds have posted photos of their album on this board. Do a search and you can see what other people have done.

my B&W are in order....it is a 'photojournalistic story', but my color photos are not in order, they are mor arranged in an aesthetically pleasing manner.

HearzBellz and Wc0143,You both have 2 albums - 1 black and white and 1 in color?
How many proofs did you get?

Re: Wedding Albums ?s
No, just one album. It's going to be SIXTY PAGES!! YEESH!
But I'm not sure how many actual pictures that is (we just picked them on Tuesday, I have to go back next Tuesday to set it up).
I got 757 proofs back - about 350 were B&W, the rest were color.

Re: Wedding Albums ?s
The person I worked with recommended the album tell the story of your wedding so we did that - but I pretyt much had picked out pictures that represented just that. Another thing she recommended was balance. Not too many from any point in time of the wedding. So a balance between getting ready, the ceremony, our outside pictures, and our reception pictures. Most of my pictures in my album were posed or event pictures but I also threw in a few pages of just pictures I thought were cool or more artistic or things like that.

I don't remember how ours is set up but when we going over the album pictures they laid out the pictures as if they were in the album and I could literally see the album come together as we matched up shots. Knowing this before hand probably would have made it easier to pick the pictures before we met with the photographer.

That's good advice! They did that with me as well - we tried to put picture that go together on coordinating pages and pictures that go in the same direction and stuff. It really helps too look at the album that way.
