wedding announcements

Did anyone have a wedding announcent???

We had a small wedding and were unable to invite people due to the wonderful cost of weddings on long island. Anyway, my mom would like to send announcents out to people here in the states and family overseas.
Do you think this ok??
or does it look like a plea for wedding gifts??

I plan on creating it myself, what do you think about have a wedding picture included in the document??

I think it's a great idea...a picture is definitely nice. I think it'll make it much more personal.

I did not send wedding announcements...

but I have received a few announcements...they are nice...one was from an old collage roommate - who I lost touch with, etc...

you cannot send a wedding photo wih it...b/c they should be mailed the day of your wedding
