Re: wedding check bounced
We had a check bounce.
We re-deposited it a few weeks later (I didn't know you could do that until my dad told me) and it cleared.
I'd never mention it to the guests....(though the bank must've notified them)

Re: wedding check bounced
We had a check bounce after our wedding also. It cleared the second time around, but it cost us an extra $25.00. I am guessing that perhaps the guest thought we wouldn't deposit it until after the honeymoon, so they would have time to get the money in the bank. We actually went to the bank the morning we left on our honeymoon because we did not want a lot of cash and checks in our empty house while we were gone and it was too much for the ATM machine. We never said anything to the person, nor they to us. I imagine they must have been pretty embarrased.

Re: wedding check bounced
I would most definitely contact someone who bounced a wedding check. Actually, I'm 99% sure you will hear from them because they will obviously find out that they bounced the check when their bank contacts them. I wouldn't automatically redeposit it because most banks will hit you with another charge if it bounces again. We had one at our wedding, a guy my DH works with. He was definitely embarrassed and asked us to redeposit and it cleared. He also insisted on giving my hubby $20 to cover our fee, which is what I would do if I were in his position. So it all worked out but if you don't hear from the person, I would find a way to diplomatically let them know... depending on who it is (in my case, my hubby would have had the job), say that you wanted to let them know that the 'check was returned' (don't use the ugly 'the check bounced' phrase) and you wanted to let them know. I'm sure this person will take it from there, offering an apology and restitution. If they don't offer to pay the fee you incurred, I probably wouldn't mention that, but that's me, I can't think of a way to say 'Hey. what about the 20 bucks I'm out' LOL I'm sure it will all work out fine.
Edited because I see that you already posted that it all worked out, that's great.
