Wedding gifts

So it appears a couple of our guests got a little confused and thought my DH's middle name was his last name. Now we have about 4-5 checks made out to Mr. & Mrs. his middle name. Has this ever happened to anyone else? Do I have to ask these people for new checks or do you think the bank would deposit them?

Check with your bank but I think he can just sign his name. Or maybe sign it with the wrong name then under that the correct name.

I work for a bank, and if you sign the wrong way and the correct way they should take the checks...but every bank is different. But I can tell you, I used to be a teller and when you are depositing 100 cks you don't look that closely at the signatures on the back. The fed probably won't send them back if they are not for huge (over $1000) amts. I hope this helps.

good to konw - sometimes i get rebate checks back with typos in my first name!!

We had the same thing, although our guests figured it out before handing the checks to us but they just told us the story!

My really good friend (and mike and i have been together for over 9 years) they put his middle name vincent as his first name I just signed my name and they didn't say anything!
