Hello ladies! I'm new to this board, married 2 weeks ago I loooved my wedding gown and definitley want to preserve it. Has anyone done this?? If so, how much did you pay? I was quoted $275. dunno if that is too much for this. They said they would take any dirt or stains off the bottom of my gown and preserve it for this price. Also, did you preserve your veil with your dress? Any info on this is appreciated. Thanks.

I went to a local dry-cleaners and they preserved my dress & veil in a sealed special box for $175!!! Bridal reflections quoted me 3 times that much! crazy...at the end of the day, it is still preserved.

Re: Wedding Gown Preservation
I went to my local dry cleaners on 99-01 63rd Drive on Rego Park right across from the Pioneer Supermarket. They cleaned and preserved my dress for $170 which included the $20 fee for the box. They got off this tough grass and dirt stains on my bottom of my dress and train. I would definitely recommend them. When I received the box, my gown was preserved with the veil tucked inside the box. The outside has an open cover that you can lift to view your wedding gown. They also have a seamstress there that did an amazing job on hemming the bottom of my train and dress. FM if you need the address and contact info.

this place is right by my job!! and what you paid is less than my quote for sure. I also like the idea of the open cover so I can see my dress, lol, thanks for the info.

Hey Tamara...congrats again!!!
I went to my local drycleaners (OnePrice) and they quoted me $99. They're online if you want to locate a store near you. I think their website is onepricedrycleaners.com!
My mom put my wedding dress in the washing machine hung it to dry and then put it in a space bag. After washing the dress it looked better then on my wedding day and not one thread or bead came off, it washed perfectly.

Re: Wedding Gown Preservation
I need to do this, but everytime I go to my parents house to pick it up to take it to get preserved, I end up putting it on and running around the house yelling 'I wanna get married again!!!' ha ha I think my parents are sick of hearing me by now.
