Lately I've been feeling really down every time I look at my proofs. I think Duet captured my day but there aren't many pictures of me and DH alone. Looking at this site sometimes makes me even more depressed when I see so many gorgeous girls and pictures. Anyone else feel this way or is it just me?

No, It's not just you. I could only find 10 pictures to choose from for our thank you note.

I think its really normal to be disappointed with your pics -- no matter how lovely they are.
I have almost the opposite problem that you had. I felt like my proofs were all me. Looking back over them I was upset that there weren't more pics of my mom -- I only like one picture of me and her together. Also there were no pics of my SIL.

how about a 'day after' shoot? or maybe a fun day session with another photographer during your favorite season

i'm glad others feel the same way...although i thought my photographer did a great job, it wasn't until we got our proofs back that i realized they did not take ANY pics of us inside the hall other than the reception pics, no pic of our invitation, none of my work friends or DH and his 'boys' (all of which we had specifically asked for). instead, i have about 20 pictures of my brothers girlfriend's stepmother. go figure

It is definitely not you. I found that this site made me more depressed at times, since I felt everyone else's pictures were stunning and mine were average.

its very hard NOT to compare your pics to others. i do it too sometimes. but i really do love my pics, especially when me and DH look through them and remember those moments.

I feel the same, but I think I was just too tense that day and it came out in our pics. Thats the only thing I can think of because I love the photographer's work and it just didnt happen for our pics. I wish we had the $$$ to do a day after shoot because I think I would be more relaxed and get some better pics.

I felt this way as well...I think part of it is b/c my taste in photography has changed and I felt like alot of my pics were too posed

Thanks ladies for responding. It's make me not feel so alone in this. I completely agree with the post above - I was so serene and nervous before the ceremony and so frustrated with my roaming bridal party during the cocktail hour when we were taking our formal pictures that the happiness of the day just did not shine through.
I am seriously thinking of a 'one year anniversary' shoot so I can get dressed up and take more artistic pictures of just the two of us.
Hopefully over time, these pictures just won't matter as much.

I feel the same way, I only have a few pics of us and only able to choose two thank you pics out of five pics only with hubbie and I.

i agree too, i felt like a got a ton of great pics from regular guests, i wish i could of just used them for my thank yous. i was thinking before i should of used a different company if it was one thing i could of changed about everything. having problems with my company now too!
