Mine are pretty scuffed so I was thinking of trying to have them dyed black (they were originally dyed ivory). Just wanted to see what everyone else did/will do.

Re: Wedding Shoes
Just keeping them as is in a shoe box in my closet for now.
Mine can't be dyed black but I think that even with most dyeables that's the case. I had a pair I really liked from when I was a BM in a wedding a few years ago and I went to get them dyed. They advised me against it because they said that for regular everyday wear, it's not a good idea. They said that if it rains or you get them wet, the dye will run.

That's the case with dyed shoes in general, yes. It rained on two prom nights for me and I ended up with red feet (red shoes, not dancing) one time and blue (once again, from the shoes, not dancing) the other.
ETA: to answer the question, I'm keeping them as is, at least for the time being. I may just keep them for nostalgia's sake, but that may even wear off over time.

Re: Wedding Shoes
I had silver leather ones and I have worn them a few times since the wedding. I wanted something I would wear again, but even once they are worn out, I will probably keep them for sentimental reasons

Re: Wedding Shoes
Wow - good point about dying the shoes...do you think mine can at least be cleaned so I can put them away all nice and pretty?

Ditto.
Mine are white leader sandals and I can wear them again, but they're pretty beat up, so I have to take them to get fixed first.

Re: Wedding Shoes
Mine are in a box. I wish I could wear them again, but I will probably save them with my gown.

Re: Wedding Shoes
I dyed a bridesmaid shoe from a wedding (they were light blue) to black and wear them all the time, only after 5 years of wearing did the black JUST start to wear off on my feet sometimes.
I will dye one of my pairs black and the other I still wear out all the time (they are silver/clear)!!!!

Re: Wedding Shoes
I'm keeping them for now. They are non-wedding shoes, leather and ivory. I don't think I'll have many occassions to wear them, but maybe with a pastel dress to another wedding...

Re: Wedding Shoes
I'm keeping mine. They are a plain white sandal/shoe so I am sure I will be able to wear them again with no problem.

This is going to sound weird but where did u get your shoes? they are gorgeous. My friends wedding is coming up and she just wrote me that she wants our shoes to have a small bow on like the one thats on our dress. It actually looks exactly like your shoe. I hope u get this message.
