Wedding Thank You Dilemna! HELP!

I am writing the ty notes from my wedding (which has been a miserable experience) and have a question. Several members of our bridal party have not given us a gift...some have acknowledged that they still need to do it, and some haven't said anything...should I send them a thank you note now thanking them for being in the wedding or should I hold off?

I would send it now. (Maybe it will remind them to give you your gift.)

i have a bridesmaid who never gave us a gift...she keeps telling me she will, but i know it's not going to happen, and i understand because i know she has money troubles.
i sent her a special thank you for being in the bridal party and being a part of my special day.
i know i'm sort of alone on this, but i don't see the thank yous as being about the gifts, but about thanking people for being there for us.

It depends. If you gave the bridal party members a card/gift at the reherasal dinner (or on the wedding day) thanking them for being part of your special day, then I think that it's redundant to send a ty card saying the same thing now. If you didn't acknowledge their participation in the wedding at that point, then you should take this opportunity to send an appreciative note regardless of the gift situation.

We had two bp people and one ceremony reader who didn't give us gifts. I felt that since I ave them gifts and handwritten thank you notes at the RD, there was no reason to thank them again for participating. I can't imagine what I would writer that would be any different than what I wrote the first time.
