how soon after the wedding are they suppose to go out? My photographer said that my TYC might not be ready for another couple of weeks...is this normal?

That's perfectly normal for the pics to take a few weeks until they're ready.
When they're 'supposed' to go out can be debated. Some say get them out ASAP, others say you have up to a year. I just sent mine out at the 5 month mark, but I'll admit that I didn't mean for them to take that long!!

i was married july 2 and didnt get mine out yet.
i hope to have them out by the end of this month

I disagree with the year mark. I think it is customary to send them out no later than 6 months. Now granted we've received thank you's a year later from a photographer that we now sends thank yous to the customers much sooner. We sent ours out within 3 months of marriage. I personally feel the sooner, the better, but I completely understand them taking 6 months. A year is almost like a insult because its not neccessarily taking the couple that long to receive them. Yes its a large task, but you've gotta suck it up and do them.

We sent ours out by the one and a half month mark, but we got our thank you right in to our photographer. I think as long as they're out by 6 months its fine

We're working on ours now and hope to have them out before Thanksgiving. We got married 9-16

We were married in Feb and had our thank you's out by April, so 2 months. Our proofs took 1 month to get back and we picked out our thank you right away so we could get the cards out asap.

thanks ladies...just wanted to get a range in time frame. don't want my guests thinking I'm rude or anything.
Hopefully I can't get them out within the next two or three months
