I am being patient with the photographer and not calling.....but when should the thank yous be out?

I'm not sure if there's an actual time frame in which you should send out your thank yous. Are you saying you haven't gotten your proofs yet? If you haven't, then I would call the photographer. I got mine very quickly but I know each photographer is a little different. Good luck

Ettiquette says you have a year to send out your TY's... but I'd call the photographer and ask--- I had mine 10 days after the wedding-- and they were film not digital

I felt the same way. The photographer told me 6 weeks it took about 8, who knows why...but once I got them I chose my TY pic overnight, he had them to me in 10 days. My thank you's went out about 10 weeks after the wedding and some people said how FAST that was. I wouldn't worry about it people understand. MY DH actually thought of getting the cards from the photographer when you pick up the proofs and start WRITING the TYs without the pics just to get a head start. Also you could start addressing or stamping the envelopes if you do that. HTH good luck and don't worry no one is timing you unless of course it is like over a year later.

is it taking longer than they told you it would? if so, call them! we had ours back in less than 2 weeks, but ours were digital. the thank yous for us took maybe 2 weeks to receive them after we let them know which pics to use. good luck.

they did mention it will take a while, but I don't remember how long...I am trying to be patient but I am not annoyed, just want to see the photos and make thank yous/announcements.

I have the same photographer and am still waiting for my proofs. After the honeymoon I asked and they said they were at about a 10-12 week turnaround time. DH called after the 12 weeks and they said they are really busy but are working on them. Now I am past 13 weeks. I am embarrassed when I see people that were at the wedding since I haven't done thank yous yet.

I am waiting for my photos to. They told me 4-6 weeks so I am waiting one more week. I hope I get them soon.

Your photographer, and mine, is experiencing huge delays. A bride from the end of August hasn't received her's yet - supposedly they are only working on the weekend before at this point (the middle of August!).
I'm in the same position as you. I would have had mine out already if it were up to me.

Yes, they were backed up. I got married in July and got my proofs in Oct. It was worth the wait if that makes you feel better.

OMG! I had Twelfth Night too. I got married a few days ago, and I'm already itching to see them. You guys are giving me a heart attack!!!

I'd flip out if I didnt have them by the tine 2 months rolled around! I had them when I got back from my HM! I'd definitely give them a call. Be impatient. Get annoying, then they'll rush it! :O)

Technically I have heard you have a year...before we got our pictures back some people started to ask where their TYs were (this was like 3 weeks after the wedding! ) when we explained to them that we didn't have our pictures yet they understood!

I used the same photographers and was married 8/19....just got mine back this week. But trust me ladies, it'll be worth the wait, they do a beautiful job!!!!!
