wedding withdrawal

wedding withdrawal

My wedding was just over a month ago - 4/27 (today's actually the anniversary of our engagement.)

I'm just wondering if anyone else goes through the withdrawal of not having to plan anymore. So much build up and now its all over...

We were lucky to have a second party (in San Francisco) where I got to where my dress again, so it wasn't all over at once, but now it is.

Its like I don't know what to do with myself - and I have so much free time at work !

I need something to plan! I really enjoyed the planning. I'm looking into vacations so I can plan something. Anyone else feel like this?

Re: wedding withdrawal

I think we've all felt at least a little withdrawal.

Re: wedding withdrawal

I think we all have gone through it--and before you know it something else in life takes over--whether it is buying a house (even if you are not looking) getting pregnant(even if you are not trying-well hopefully as newlyweds we are all trying--but you know what I mean) LIfe starts to fill in where wedding planning lets off-- I went into vacation mode and planned our one year wedding anniversary and SIGH that is already over!!! and now our house is pretty much done---and the funny thing is we are finally relaxing--we spent the entire weekend driving in my DH convertible-- we havent done that since our dating days(The convertible he bought before he bought my ring--sore point--at least at that time to me it was) funny the things that bother you at different times--
but seriously involve yourself in the wedding prooofs, waiting for your video and then the dreaded waiting for the album to be finished and then you are really done!!
I will stop rambling
Enjoy being a newlywed--the year goes fast!!

My first year Anniversary is this week - and it was so funny to me to be reading your post. I too wrote the same thing on this newlywed site just about a year ago. I can't believe it.
It does seem to pass b/c new things do come into your life. But, I have to admit - it's been a year and I kind of still miss the plannig - I was like you I truly enjoyed it!!!!!!
I'm glad to see your posting over here - As you can see you are not alone with not wanted to let go.
