I'm starting to get Save the Date's from friends of ours for their weddings this fall, and it's making me think about our wedding, that it's all over and done with. I'm excited that we're married, and I can't believe it's almost been 8 months already! I wish we could do it all over again. I was talking to my DH about it, reminiscing (sp?), and he made me feel better by saying, 'Don't think about the wedding, think about the baby!' No, we're not pregnant yet, but we're trying, so he was trying to cheer me up with baby thoughts! Now I can't wait to get pregnant!!!

Re: Wedding Withdrawals again...
Hi Melissa,
I think most of us have been through this too. I still find myself checking my registry to see if anything is missing....
Three of my cousins are getting married this year so I try to help them as much as I can. Although it is not my wedding, I still love the planning and coming up with new ideas for them.

Maybe helping your friends plan can help lessen this

Re: Wedding Withdrawals again...
Do want to know how mean I am???
We have just gotten a slew of invitations and save the date sort of stuff. Whenever I open one (or most of them at least), I think 'mine was so much nicer!'. Isn't that mean? Maybe thats how I deal with it :D

you're not alone, Stef. I totally critique every invite, STD, etc - even if they're NOT wedding related. You should have seen the baptism invite

Re: Wedding Withdrawals again...
In my defense, I was always this way. I always used to look at a tacky invite or something and think 'why didnt they do this or that?'. Hey - but at least when I tell someone I really like it, they know I really do :P

Re: Wedding Withdrawals again...
I know how you feel! My wedding was 6 months ago, and I want to do it all over again! I just got this email from my friend, and although I am super happy for her, there was a little pang in my stomach of 'why can't that be me all over again?'
email: Hi everyone!!! Just wanted to let you all know that Dean and I got engaged tonite. He proposed to me on a horse and carriage ride going around Central Park. It was really sweet and a total surprise. I would tell you more, but I need to get to sleep, I just got home now. Hope to talk to you soon. Love, Jean
Isn't that cute? What a lucky girl!

I think we all feel this way at some point. It is called being human.
